Art Hotel On York, Launceston

Although the hotel had some noise during peak hours and lacked proper amenities in the room, the location provided easy access to everything. The dining options were reasonably priced and had good value. However, finding parking was a challenge.

This hotel has a lot of character, and the bed was so comfortable that I struggled to get up in the morning. Despite being small, the rooms are very cozy. There was a small amount of road noise, but it didn't affect my sleep, making it a comfortable stay overall. The service was friendly and full of helpful information, from providing maps and walking trails to giving recommendations for dinner options nearby. The location was convenient, with a supermarket just 200m away and easy access to restaurants and gift shops. The dining experience was good overall, although the timing for breakfast could be more flexible. Overall, a spot with a beautifully restored colonial building that offers good value for money.

The hotel offers a huge room with a choice to have a meal in the room, though the wood varnish smell was strong for the price paid in Australia. The room was very cold, and the heater was not sufficient for the room size.

The hotel is located perfectly for exploring the Gorge and enjoying the New Year's Eve fireworks. The rooms are wonderfully decorated in line with the historic building, and they are extremely comfortable and spotlessly clean. The service was a mix of rude moments and fantastic assistance. The location is excellent, close to all the key spots like the city center, Gorge, chairlift, and pubs. The dining experience had limited options, but the dishes were delightful once you secure a table. Overall, a great value for money stay with lovely historical charm.

I had a lovely stay at this hotel overlooking the courtyard, quiet despite the main road location. The owners were friendly and helpful, truly adding to the experience. The rooms were comfortable and perfect for relaxing before and after my Overland Track hike.
